First we went with Grammy and Grandpa and met Uncle Zach, Auntie Karen and Cousin *P for a hearty breakfast.
At midday while the little ones napped, Andy, Zach and Grandpa Charlie went over to Cooper Mountain Nature Park for a walk and some more plant photos (I'll let Andy show you the rest of the photos from this trip in another post).
But after nap, it was time to get bedecked in Easter finery and head over to Zach and Karen's for playtime and dinner. Alton sports his "Springtime in the Northwest" look: dark-rinse jeans from Uncles Dave and Cliff, pink button-down made by Mommy, and a white-and-chocolate cable knit sweater from Grammy and Grandpa.
*P was set to go in her own Easter outfit from Grammy and Grandpa, plus a hairbow for that special party look!
While Auntie Karen was busy hiding treats and eggs in the living room for a little cousin hunt, we staged a quick photo session in the playroom for these two well-dressed cuties...these are only a few of the best ones.
Time to hug it out.
And we're ready for the egg hunt! We left Alton's basket at home, so he got another one from Auntie Karen and off they went. Karen had been plotting for this hunt well in advance, with chocolate candies and bunnies, eggs in the shape of animals, toy cars, Little People, bubbles, and light-up whirling egg wands. Wow!
*P finds her first egg.
Alton spots a candy...
...and deposits it in his basket.
He was in love with the little toy cars.
*P is overwhelmed by all of the prizes in the room!
And we'll go ahead and snag another toy car.
*P says, "No Alton, you need to snag the chocolate."
Alton regards his chocolate bunny.
*P lunges for a whirling egg wand.
Alton test-drives an egg wand of his own.
More egg hunt chaos.

Grammy presents the kids with their Easter gifts: a music book for *P and train puzzle for Alton!
"Thank you, Grandpa!"
Uncle Zach gets a high-five.
Time to test out this new puzzle.
Karen thoughtfully provided two of every kind of toy...but Alton knows that possession is nine-tenths of the law, so he intends to take both of these little cars home.
He smiles innocently as he plots to commandeer his cousin's automobile.
*P says, "I'm onto you, Alton."
Two can play at that game: *P grabs both egg wands to hold hostage for her car.
"Take that."
Alton relinquishes one of the cars; *P says there are no hard feelings.
After dinner, they take turns drag-racing on a "real" roadster.
And at some point, the evening takes a turn for the crazy and the kids get more than just a little hyper. The rest is just a blur.
Zooming.
Vaulting.
Spinning.
Running.
Tip-toeing.
Dragging.
Pushing.
And, maybe, a little screaming.
Then it was time for cupcakes. Whose idea was it to give this toddler sugar? Oh wait, it was mine.
Then we mellowed out while we explored the new toys.
And read quietly with Grammy and Grandpa (although there was a little bit of floor-rolling right before we left).

Yeah, as if there was ever a question that those two didn't share some DNA before that photo shoot. And "Little Kids Gone Wild" towards the end are my favorite shots!
Looks like a fun time was had by all. Oh yeah, those two little ones do definitely share some similar facial qualities.
