Return to Sender
In case you haven't noticed already, Alton loves to pull his wagon to the mailbox and go to the park around the corner. There is nothing he likes better than putting on shoes, grabbing his trusty Radio Flyer, and heading for the mailbox, with a long-way detour to the park on the way home. He collects letters, bills and junk mail in his wagon, sometimes tucking them companionably against his sippy cup, and strides with purpose no matter the weather ("Neither snow nor rain, not heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.") to deliver them with a big cheerful grin. Often on the longer excursions that include the park, Andy Daddy will take the camera for some cute photo ops. And since you can see that we take a LOT of pictures of this kid, here they are, shared with you!
Setting out on today's adventure.

Sometimes adventures get a little chilly, which is why we have pockets to warm our hands.

We arrive at the park! Time to ascend the steps.

Peek-a-boo!

Almost to the top...

...success.

Monkey swingin' at the top of the slide.

We pause for a picture.

He heads down solo!

After some tunnel time...

...he trots around a bit more to get some energy out,

and finally it's time to load up the wagon and head home.

At one point he tells Daddy, "It's cold!" (Accompanied by a little shoulder shiver.) Time to put up the hood.

Mail time!

Home again, home again.

Oh, those eyes.
